Own Art is an Arts Council England initiative operated by Creative Sector Services CIC, a Community Interest Company, in partnership with Creative Scotland, Arts Council of Northern Ireland and our credit provider Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance.
Own Art makes buying art easy and affordable by letting you spread the cost of your purchase over 10 months with an interest free loan. *e.g. An £750 artwork can be paid off at £75 per month for 10 months.
The aims of the scheme are: –
To enable more people to live with the art they love;
To promote the presentation and sale of high quality works of art through a network of visual arts venues and galleries across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland;
To support contemporary artists by encouraging increased sales of work across a breadth of practice.
Own Art is available for purchase of original art and original prints in editions of under 150 (excluding giclee prints).

Try Before you Buy
We know that it can sometimes be very difficult to make a decision on a piece of art, until you see it in your own home.
That’s why we encourage clients to try out artwork at home before you buy with no obligation.
Important note – it is your responsibility to insure the art work when it is in your possession and if you return it to us then it must be in exactly the same condition as when it was delivered to you.
Commission a piece of Art
Many of our artists are happy to accept a commission for a painting to an individual brief. In some instances this can even be created without obligation.
Please ask us about an artist and we can advise what is possible to fit your brief.
Recent examples of successful commissions by Richard Knight, Henrietta Stuart and Nicky Chubb are shown opposite.
We offer the opportunity for clients to open a gift list for a special birthday, wedding or anniversary or simply to purchase gift vouchers. In this way you can give an imaginative and enduring gift of their choice. We would be very happy to meet recipients and provide assistance with their choice or arrange a bespoke commission.Gift vouchers are available in any denomination from £10 upwards and can be purchased in the gallery or over the telephone. There is no time limit on using the vouchers so the recipient can choose their piece of art at their leisure.
